We are pleased to announce that Carla Maresca has been accepted to the Pennsylvania Bar Institute faculty. Carla will be presenting a CLE course, The Five Hottest Issues in Municipal Employer Liability Claims, on April 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the 13th Annual Employment Law Institute. An increasing number of plaintiffs are bringing claims against their municipal employer utilizing Section 9183 as their vehicle. This program will explore the most popular claims and defenses in this area, including First Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment claims as well as defenses, including the various immunities available to municipal defendants. More than 500 people attend the Institute each year, including attorneys, claims representatives and human resource professionals. We are pleased to have one of our attorneys as a member of the faculty of this popular program!
