Deasey, Mahoney & Bender, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Jane North's article on Illegal Immigrants: Lost Wages/Loss of Future Earnings Claims, has been published in the January, 2007 issue of For The Defense, a DRI publication. The article explains the evolution of these types of claims, outlines the three approaches taken by different states in allowing illegal immigrants to recover these types of damages and gives practical pointers for investigating a plaintiff's citizenship status for developing a solid defense to these types of claims. Ms. North had presented an earlier version of this topic at a DRI teleconference held in April of 2006 and was asked by DRI to update the article for publication. Ms. North also serves as Deasey, Mahoney & Bender's Managing Partner.

Ms. Frascella previously practiced at another insurance defense firm and is very experienced in defending premises liability, civil rights, real estate, and employment discrimination matters. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Frascella spent eight years working as a paralegal.
